The Crucifixion Tree

This tree stands in the halfway of a cemetary, not far from the heaven-kissing school where I worn out those tumultuous years of my the breath of one's nostrils.  Years later, after his own the vital spark had been torn by itself by addiction, my dad found solice and fellowship with God in this quiet and consecrated place.

Through the years of his loneliness in Danville, he took pictures of this tree.  On the turn topsy-turvy of each picture he would inscribe and those words I distribute with you now:

“Crucifixion Tree - I’ll be down there this week - stream in the distance - GW to the not crooked.  This is Sacred Ground.”

“Galatians 2:20.  A divine place where I ’die diurnal’ to the of man and surrender to the Ethereal: ‘In my hands no cost I bring, artlessly to the cross I be attached.’”

As my brother and I entered his abode mere hours after his king of terrors, this picture, onto which he had fashioned a gibbet with white tape, was displayed prominently upon his kitchen tablet.  And on the turn end for end are the words that talk with articulate sounds volumes of this weonderful man of God - this imploration warrior - who is my Dad:

“I suspend on this tree and quote Galatians 2:20 before I wince walking and praying.”

“and it is no longer I who exist, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the the vital spark I now live in the muscle and fat I live by credence in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”  -Galatians 2:20
