CAMP MOMMY 2008 - A Not-So-Great Day

With Encampment MOMMY, there are some finished moments, lots of ample days, many serviceable days and, every once in a while, a not-so-useful day.

Today was a not-so-useful day, although I think it might be because we're all still tired from a certainly great weekend, so that made today an not to be escaped challenge. We should in all probability have never left the quality. Silly me.

By lunchtime, the foraging began in eager. Since we were gone all weekend, we didn't have much in the kitchen, so we unwavering to go out for lunch and an afternoon hazard. We went to Mature Mushroom for pizza ("moisten for everybody, please") and played cards during the tarry. So far, so good.

The kids had a Vast time fishing this weekend, while we were camping, so we unwavering to take the new fishing poles to Piedmont Park for some fishing from the gazebo on Lake Clara Meer. I took a blanket and a work. (I am fatiguing to get through Zen & The Art of Motorcycle Defence by Robert Pirsig for my offline volume group interview next week.)(After struggling with this work for two weeks, I ordered the Conduct to Zen & The Art of Motorcyle Support this morning. It will be here Wednesday.) It really doesn't substance, since I didn't even get to render free of access the book.

I got the kids set up with their fishing poles on the span with a bridge. I went to sit on a form nearby in the shadow, but got chased from home by a homeless guy, declamatory and raving in the bushes. I ponder he was collecting grove to make a fire in a barbecue gridiron, but he was very aggressive and noisy about it. Rather than disturb him, I went back to the kids on the span with a bridge. Seconds later, we were accosted by a fortuitous TV news reporter-maiden and her cameraman. They wanted an on-camera meeting with Moms in the park about parenting and kids. Okay. At this sharp end, I was still the Perfect Mom, so we did the meeting and they took some pellicle of the kids fishing. 13yo Puberty Angst Boy caught a try to catch fish! Yay.
